This time I worked a little bit on the backdrop, too. When I painted this, I kept thinking about how much I enjoy painting nowadays. And that’s really something. Thank you for taking these tiny steps with me, blogger friend!

Lime and Sol

This is just a sketch for now, but I’d like to show it anyway. I’ll finish it later. I recycle, and I think those slices of lime that guys at our place squeeze into their bottles of Mexican beer need to come out (and put into the biological waste bin, of course) before I recycle [...]
China

My in-laws gave us this antique Chinese tea set as an engagement gift in 1998. We rarely use this china. Mostly we just drink tea from tea mugs with cartoonish characters on them such as “Doggy Woggies”, and “Creepy Crawlies”. (Their names are printed underneath each mug. Very stylish!) We’re living in a one-bedroom flat, which means we have to make room for dinner plates right where I create my masterpieces. (Once I accidentally dipped the brush in my daughter’s glass of milk.) The kitchen is an abandoned [...]
More Tomatoes

My husband thought of me when he saw these tomatoes on the vine, and brought them home for me to paint. The tomatoes became his favorite painting. As you can see I keep painting with rough brush strokes. It doesn’t look like a painting I would have made – but I did, and I love [...]

Yesterday I tried rough brush strokes and less detail, and I had a blast! First up is a delicious calorie bomb. I bought four of these. Enjoy this one together with my family, will you? Berlinermunk is Swedish for yeast raised, frosted jelly donuts. Dear linguists and gourmands out there, enlighten me!
