Yesterday I tried rough brush strokes and less detail, and I had a blast! First up is a delicious calorie bomb. I bought four of these. Enjoy this one together with my family, will you? Berlinermunk is Swedish for yeast raised, frosted jelly donuts. Dear linguists and gourmands out there, enlighten me!

My daughter’s (4) comment, when I finished the painting: “Your paintings are getting better and better, mom. This one is much better than the previous ones. So. May we eat them now?” My kids eat cherry tomatoes like candy, and they had both been hovering above my still life arrangement, drooling, while I painted.
